Mission:
To create unique and exciting TV, Film, Music and Fashion content for the entertainment industry on various platforms to include broadcast, print, and social media. Aurora Entertainment is a collaboration project between individuals that have already created incredible results in their own right and have now decided to unite their efforts to achieve even higher expectations. The founders of this company are Daniel L. Smith and Gudni Gudnason, who together have more than 80 years of experience to share with their clients.
History:
Dan and Gudni met for the first time at an event that Gudni was producing for his wife fashion designer and Aurora Entertainment Creative Director Eiko Gudnason. The event was held at the Olympic venue in Yoyogi, Tokyo where Eiko launched her Eikos World clothing line. The show and Gudni’s innovative set designs that included a fantasy world for the runway models, a large dome structure and a pyramid, attracted the attention of the television show, FOX Backstage Pass – one of the many shows Dan produced for the Fox network.
Expectations:
The teaming of Dan and Gudni brings a lot of experience and innovation together. Dan is an award-winning writer and television producer. He has created TV programs and documentaries that have been broadcast around the world. His work with high profile Hollywood stars has garnered him wide respect in the entertainment industry. His move into producing movies comes with high expectations due to his TV successes. Gudni has produced movies and events since the early 1980s. His goal has always been to create cutting-edge events and it has earned him accolades across the globe. He has produced events from Europe to South Africa, North America to South America and all over Asia. His offices are headquarters in Tokyo, Toronto & Los Angeles. His projects are diverse and range from film, TV, music concerts, live performances, fashion shows, art exhibits, lectures, conferences, and healing expos.
Humanitarians:
Both men have also spent a lifetime aiding a variety of charitable and humanitarian causes. Through his NPO, Gudni has come to the aid of flood ravished communities in the United States to being among the first to provide aid to victims of Japan’s horrific Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Dan, a retired military man, has continued his pledge to lift up the military community with his “Celebrities Support the Troops” program which has mobilized stars like Will Smith, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Rihanna, and Taraji P. Henson to visit with Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, Marines, and their family members.
